CSF is Making Cooling Cool
Say the word “radiator” and the typical American will probably picture a block of corroded metal that leaks antifreeze and is the reason you’re stuck on the side of the highway.
Like children from the Milford Academy in Arrested Development, a proper radiator is to be “neither seen nor heard.”
But in Japan, radiators are often front and center. Their culture of heavily modifying their cars, and adding intercoolers to aid turbochargers, made it desirable to have a prominent logo like Koyorad, Mishimoto or GReddy splashed across the front of the car. That makes it one of the most visible, most important, and most sexy parts around.
That’s the approach shared by CSF Radiators, a California-based company that specializes in cooling components. At SEMA, the brand had an eye-catching booth front and center in the Central Hall that drew crowds all week. I spoke with Alan Wei, general manager at CSF, to see what’s working for them.
