PREORDER OUR NEW BOOK: Launching Now
Author Victoria Scott delivers a groundbreaking photobook (with a twist).
Hi again. It’s been a long time, but I’m back to tell you about a new project that’s deeply important to me and to Carrara Media. One that is just as important as The Stainless Steel Carrot was in 2021, and as Slow Car Fast was in 2019. Maybe more.
It’s called Postcards From the End of the World, and it’s the newest addition to our growing stable of books and eBooks. This is a fictional story with tons of vivid photography, brought to life by debut author Victoria Scott.
You can preorder Postcards right now from our online store. Copies will begin shipping to customers in January 2023. I’m especially excited because Victoria will personally autograph every copy (!!!) we sell during this preorder period.
But what makes it special? Well, a lot. Victoria took these photos while traveling all over the American West, and in many ways the visuals feel like a love letter to barren, deserted landscapes and heart-stopping sunsets. To openness. To possibility.
In other ways, Postcards is equal parts spooky and funny and touching. And here’s my favorite part — each page is set up like a postcard, so you get a photo on the front and a hand-written note on the back. Through each one we follow the journey of Kate, our narrator, and what she finds (and doesn’t find) along her travels.
This is exactly the kind of work I hoped to help produce when I started Carrara Media. Something creative and different, made by someone who believes in it with everything they have. That’s Postcards, and that’s Victoria.
If that’s all you needed to hear and you’re ready to preorder now, reserve your copy right here. If you’re intrigued but want to know more, follow Victoria (Twitter and Instagram) and Carrara (Twitter and Instagram) for more info to come.
Either way, have a wonderful holiday season and thank you for supporting us in whatever way you do. It feels good to be back, and even better to return with a project so full of life. This is what it’s all about.
Happy holidays!
