Preorder NOW: 'Cult of GT-R' is Finally Here
Officially announcing my latest book, an epic tale of automotive tomfoolery
When I began researching and reporting my latest book (pictured above), I figured there was a long road ahead.
But I also knew, for a fact, that it would be worth it. I knew that this long road was necessary to get the project where it needed to be.
Today I’m proud to say I was right.
My new book is called Cult of GT-R: A True Story of Crime, Obsession and the World's Most Coveted Car. You can preorder it right now!
This is the biggest project I’ve ever done. I am so incredibly thrilled, and most of all honored, to have been entrusted by many to tell this story.
It’s a book about cars, yes. But mostly it’s about people. About the things that inspire us, and the lengths we’ll go to in the pursuit of happiness.
It’s also about loss. It’s about defeat, and tragedy, and deceit. And the decisions we make afterward that define us.
I tried to go further in my reporting than anyone else would think or dare — and if I found myself in uncharted territory for automotive journalism, then I was in the right place. At the end of each day I was tired, overwhelmed and uncomfortable.
And I was right. It was worth it.

Last week we were able to throw a fantastic launch party to celebrate the preorder period. You can check out the highlights right here:
I’ve also set up a Q&A with, uh, myself. The point is to shine a light on some of my process and motivation, and provide a little insight into the effort that went into this book. Check it out here.
With the book officially in Launch Mode, I’m hoping to bring it around to new venues. There are some shows upcoming that I will likely be exhibiting at, and I’ll be sure to keep you posted here.
In fact I’m planning to not only revive Race Day after this last hiatus, but also to expand it. I’m toying with the idea of returning to Wednesday issues of Race Day, and adding Friday issues that highlight specific individuals or vehicles in car culture today.
What do you think? Is the world ready for two Race Days per week? We shall see.
For now, I thank you for your support in whatever way you choose to show it. If you’re looking for a way to help, send this to a friend who might enjoy Cult of GT-R.
My true aim is to bring a story to life that people enjoy.
Thank you all for helping to make that a reality.
Drive hard and be safe. Black Lives Matter.
